Ashley Grote

Ashley Grote has been Master of Music at Norwich Cathedral since September 2012 and is also a highly acclaimed organist as well as a composer and arranger of choral and organ works. As of September 2025, he is Norwich Cathedral's Organist and Master of Music.

Previously Ashley was Assistant Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral (2008-12), Assistant Organist at Westminster Abbey (2005-08), Organist in Residence at Tonbridge School (2004-05) and Organ Scholar at King’s College, Cambridge (2001-04).

Ashley has worked frequently with the BBC Singers as an organist and conductor. In September 2024, he took up the post of chorus conductor with Norwich Philharmonic Society.
