"My father was the first High Steward of Norwich Cathedral in the 1960s – and as such his involvement included his whole family. Therefore, the whole of my life, I have had a very close association with the Cathedral.

As Vice Chair of The Duchy of Cornwall, President of the RHS, Chair of a private property company and with a number of both commercial and private Raveningham Estate properties to oversee, I have had experience of all aspects of property investment and practical management.

I am delighted to be part of the Cathedral Chapter and in particular Chair of the Properties Committee."

Sir Nicholas was installed as a Lay Canon of the Cathedral in May 2016 and became the Chair of the Property Committee and a member of the Cathedral's Chapter on 9 January 2022.
