Farewell services for Bishop Graham
26 Nov 2018

Hundreds of people gathered at Norwich Cathedral to wish the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham James, and his wife Julie a very fond farewell. On Sunday 25 November two very special services marked the retirement of Bishop Graham after nearly two decades of serving the Diocese of Norwich and a career with the church spanning more than 40 years.
Bishop Graham presided and preached at the 10.30am Sung Eucharist and this was followed in the afternoon by a 4pm Farewell Evensong.
Bishop Graham, who hails from Cornwall, was ordained in Peterborough in 1975.
After various roles within the Church of England he was consecrated Bishop of St Germans in 1993.
He moved to Norwich in 1999 and was enthroned as Bishop of Norwich on 29 January 2000.
In February 2018 he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his episcopal consecration, having celebrated 40 years of priesthood in September 2016.
