Celebrated organist Wayne Marshall will be kicking off the Cathedral’s evening recital season this week.
Conductor, organist and pianist Wayne Marshall OBE is world-renowned for his musicianship and versatility on the podium and at the keyboard, and he will be putting Norwich Cathedral’s mighty organ through its paces on Wednesday 18 June, performing Widor's Symphonie no.6, Toccata & Fugue by Andrew Ager and lots more!
Master of Music Ashley Grote said: “It's a huge honour for us to be welcoming internationally renowned organist, pianist and conductor Wayne Marshall to open our organ concert series.
Wayne is quite simply a brilliant musician, who dazzles audiences with his virtuosic keyboard skills. He will be playing a mixture of French organ showpieces, a suite based on African American spirituals, as well as demonstrating his skills as an improviser. It promises to be a thrilling concert!"
