Cathedral musician helps St Paul's project

Norwich Cathedral’s Assistant Organist George Inscoe is helping to lead a VE Day musical tribute by St Paul’s Choir of the Nation. The London landmark has launched a community singing project aiming to bring the nation together in song to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.
George recorded the organ music for the hymns Thy Hand, O God, Has Guided and Now Thank We All Our God, and people across the country have been encouraged to record themselves singing the hymns to accompany George’s backing music.
St Paul’s Cathedral is now digitally knitting all the voices together to create two recordings that will be available for churches nationwide to use in their VE Day services later this week.
St Paul’s Choir of the Nation is described as a “Hymn Flash Mob” and has previously recorded hymns for Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and St George's Day, all of which churches have been welcome to download and use in digital worship.
