Anglican and Roman Catholic Bishops attend Evensong at Norwich Cathedral

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York and the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster attended Evensong at Norwich Cathedral on Tuesday 30 January along with many other Anglican and Roman Catholic Bishops.

Their visit to Norwich Cathedral was part of a pilgrimage to Norwich for two days of ecumenical conversation, which also involved visits to the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist and the St Julian Shrine.

At the opening of the two-day pilgrimage, the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, said: “This fine city has had a long history of hospitality, to the stranger, to different groups of people. I hope that the bishops go away inspired by their time here.”
