Vigil for Peace
15 Mar 2026, 17:00 - 18:00

All are welcome to join in a Vigil for Peace which is to be held at Norwich Cathedral this weekend.
The gathering around the Cathedral’s Peace Globe on Sunday 15 March is an opportunity for people to show solidarity with all who are suffering as a result of the unrest in the Middle East and in other places of conflict around the world.
The hour-long vigil will begin at 5pm. The Universal Prayer for Peace will be said by the Dean of Norwich and people will be invited to light candles and join in with a time of silence and reflection in the Cathedral Nave.
The Dean of Norwich, the Very Revd Dr Andrew Braddock, said: “War in the Middle East, in Ukraine and beyond is of profound concern. Norwich Cathedral stands in solidarity with all suffering at this time. The Cathedral’s Vigil for Peace offers a time of reflection, when we can come together to hold in our thoughts and prayers all victims of war and conflict, and the desire for peace.”
A Vigil for Peace is to be held at Norwich Cathedral between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday 15 March.
