Stories in Stone: Children’s Science Workshop

In this fun workshop for families, explore Norwich Cathedral up close and in detail by looking at the stone used to create this amazing centuries-old building!
Learn about the limestone and its origins. Discover fossils and carved details, and find out why the stone is pink in some places!
Children and their parents/carers can also explore some of the many stories in stone waiting to be found in this wonderful building.
This one-hour workshop is part of Norwich Science Festival and takes place on Tuesday 17 February at 10.30am and 1pm.
The workshop is suitable for primary school-aged children and must be booked in advance.
The workshop costs £4.50 per child and accompanying adults are free.

On arrival, please register at the Donations Desk in the Cathedral's Hostry.
On the day, there will also be Stories in Stone activities in the Cathedral Nave from 10am until 2pm. These are included in your workshop ticket.
