Specialist tour: The Graffiti of Norwich Cathedral
06 Oct 2025, 14:15

Norwich cathedral contains over five thousand individual graffiti inscriptions, dating from as far back as the twelfth century - all the way through to 2022. They were created for various reasons, including a curse on a local family, but very often they are simply prayers made solid in stone. Medieval ships sail across the stonework, jostling aside images of wading birds and elaborate compass drawn designs. Join this tour for an entirely new perspective on the cathedral’s already rich and vibrant past.
