Specialist Tour : Norwich Cathedral in the Time of the Civil War
02 Jul 2025, 14:15
Location: Norwich Cathedral

Norwich Cathedral, like so many churches, suffered from many political and religious changes during the centuries.
Much of what now remains can provoke questions and in Norwich two questions immediately spring to mind, viz.
- Why do only two memorial brasses remain, when all the others have vanished leaving only their imprints?
- Also, why is only one window completely glazed with Medieval glass when all the other windows have much more modern glass?
This talk and tour will explain what happened to the cathedral and its bishops and congregation.
