Senior Choir Auditions

Calling young people who love to sing!

We are looking for girls in current school years 6, 7, and 8, and boys in current school years 8 to 12, to join our Senior Choirs in September.

The Senior Girls' Choir meets on Tuesdays during term time 4.45pm - 7.45pm to sing Choral Evensong and rehearse, and again on Saturday mornings 10.30am - 12.00pm for rehearsal. In addition, the senior girl choristers sing in concerts, broadcasts, recordings and go on trips. This group is ideally suited for girls who already love singing and are keen to sing in a choir at the highest level.

The Senior Boys' Choir meets on Sundays during term-time 4.45pm - 6.00pm for rehearsal and then sing a service of Compline one Sunday evening a month in Norwich Cathedral, plus other occasional performances and events. This group is ideally suited to boys and young men with changing voices, regardless of whether they have had previous choral experience or not.

What we are looking for

For girls and boys alike, we are looking for young people who have a love of singing, a natural voice and a good musical ear. We would hope to see some ability to read music at an elementary level, with the expectation that senior choristers will gain experience in sight-reading once they join the choir. Candidates should demonstrate a love of music and an understanding of the commitment that is required to be a senior chorister in our choirs.
