NNF: Idrîsî Ensemble Lost Harmonies
11 May 2025, 20:00 - 21:30
Location: Nave

The Idrîsî Ensemble is performing Lost Harmonies: Endangered and Medieval Traditions at Norwich Cathedral on Sunday 11 May as part of Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
Following their sell-out London success, the Idrîsî Ensemble brings a mesmerising concert to the Festival, featuring rare music from Corsica, Greece, and Mallorca. Featuring several never-recorded chants and a newly reconstructed Ancient Greek sibylline oracle. Pioneering a fresh approach to historical performance, Idrîsî Ensemble performs medieval repertoire from period manuscripts, together with UNESCO-protected and endangered traditions.
With world-leading traditional performers and early music specialists, this very special concert is a celebration of human imagination and a powerful encounter with sounds on the brink of extinction.
