NCCL: How Tudor reformation came to a Norfolk parish in three objects
14 Mar 2026, 10:00 - 12:30
Location: Library

We will explore this through the stories of three parochial objects: a book by Erasmus; communion cup; and Ranworth’s parish register. Through their deployment, a picture emerges of official direction overwriting traditional practice as the new Church of England imposed its values of conformity, decency and moderation.
Led by the Revd Canon Nick Garrard.
Cost: £10 plus a small booking fee if using TicketSource, or email NCCL. Please note payments are not refundable.
Certificate in Christian Studies: subject area 3, Church History
Erasmus' Paraphrase on the gospels features, with other works by Erasmus and contemporary authors, in the current library exhibition: 1526 - a year in the Reformation.
