NCCL: A brief history of how the Bible became the Bible
06 Dec 2025, 10:00 - 12:30
Location: Library

The ‘books’ that became the Christian Bible were drawn from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts, and the message proclaimed through the end result was intended as a blessing to all nations. As a curtain raiser of sorts to the module to follow, this session will look at the fascinating process through which those disparate source texts became what we recognise today.
Led by Ashley Williams. Cost: £10 (or £15 if booked with "Biblical translation", 13 December). To book your place contact NCCL@cathedral.org.uk
