Lord Mayor's Procession
12 Jul 2025, 15:00

The Lord Mayor’s Procession is the centrepiece of the Lord Mayor’s Celebration – an open and welcoming summertime festival in the heart of Norwich.
The procession, the second oldest carnival in the UK, began in medieval times with the Norwich Guild to welcome the new Lord Mayor.
This year's procession will be starting from the Cathedral Close at 3pm and will weave its way around the city's streets before finishing at Chapelfield Gardens at about 4.30pm.

Please note that Tombland will be closed to vehicles from 2pm until 6pm on Saturday 12 July, and so there will no vehicle access to the Cathedral Close via Tombland during this time.
