Exhibition: Stories of Discovery

Stories of Discovery is a collaboration between English+ and the National Centre for Writing, bringing together one organisation that teaches the English language and another that focuses on the creative uses of language.

As part of Refugee Week 2025, 10 stories are on display in the Cathedral’s South Transept, written by people from countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Hong Kong, Eritrea and Ukraine.

The authors of these stories and poems may not have English as a first language, but they show that language and cultural differences are no barrier to being able to share life’s special moments. Being able to convey meaning, purpose and beauty are universal qualities.

Norwich Cathedral is proud to host one of the weekly classes offered by English+.
