British-Jewish Life on Film
04 Dec 2025, 18:15
Location: Cinema City, Norwich

Cinema City will be hosting British-Jewish Life on Film on Thursday 4 December at 6.15pm.
The event will feature a selection of short documentaries and dramas that have been commissioned by UK Jewish Film.
Among them will be The Innocents which was commissioned by the Jewish Small Communities Network and looks at the lives of Jewish communities in Lincoln and Norwich.
Both cities have historically been associated with medieval blood libels, with the first recorded case of a blood libel being that of William of Norwich in 1144.
In the film, Dr Marian Prinsley, President of the Norwich Hebrew Congregation, talks about this with the Dean of Norwich, the Very Revd Dr Andrew Braddock, and both will be taking part in a Q&A after the screening.
Other films that will be screened at British-Jewish Life on Film include To Fly Or Float, a film about an orphaned girl and her estranged uncle trying to navigate their grief and connecting through faith and the creation of a kite, Primordial Chicken Soup, a film about the deep connection of eight Scouse Jewish women who first met over 55 years ago, and Fighting Back, a story of identity, courage and strength about an Orthodox Jewish martial artist.
