Paddington

After 11 months greeting visitors near the Herb Garden, Paddington is having a change of scenery and can now be found perched on his bench in the Upper Close, a short distance from the Cathedral’s Hostry entrance.

The special statue is one of 24 dotted around the UK and Ireland as part of the Paddington Visits trail celebrating the little bear from Peru and STUDIOCANAL’S Paddington in Peru movie.

If you enter the Cathedral Close by walking through the Ethelbert Gate, you just need to follow the blue welcome signs which will lead you in the direction of the Hostry.

Please take care as you walk through the Close and be mindful of passing vehicles of Close residents. Please also note that we are not able to accommodate parking for general visitors in The Close.

Our little visitor is very popular and so at times you may need to queue to see Paddington and take pictures.
