Welcome service for the new Bishop of Thetford

A special service of welcome for the new Bishop of Thetford, the Rt Revd Ian Bishop, took place at Norwich Cathedral on Saturday 30 September.
The service took place the day after Bishop Ian was ordained Bishop of Thetford at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29 September.
Bishop Ian was previously Archdeacon of Macclesfield in the Diocese of Chester. Norfolk is a place he knows well as he has previously served as vicar of Tasburgh, Tharston, Saxlingham Nethergate, Shotesham, Newton Flotman and Swainsthorpe in the Diocese. Ian and his wife Sue are returning to an area full of happy memories for them both.
