A Christmas message from the Dean of Norwich

The Dean of Norwich, the Very Revd Dr Andrew Braddock, shares a video message for Christmas.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Norwich Cathedral has welcomed in many different groups and organisations for their annual carol services.

Amongst them we've welcomed local schools and the friends, staff and supporters of Priscilla Bacon Lodge, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and St Martins Housing Trust.

What all those groups have in common is that they were established to serve the needs of others.

That spirit of love and service is something that needs to be valued and cherished, not least as so many in our world are again living in the shadow of war and hatred, not least in the lands where Jesus himself was born and grew up.

In the Christmas story, we hear again of how Jesus was born amongst us not to be served, but to serve and to give his life in love for the world.
