Specialist Tour: The Graffiti of Norwich Cathedral
16 May 2026, 11:15

This event has now sold out.
Norwich Cathedral contains over 5,000 individual graffiti inscriptions, dating from as far back as the 12th century.
They were created for various reasons, including a curse on a local family, but very often they are simply prayers made solid in stone. Medieval ships sail across the stonework, jostling aside images of wading birds, and elaborate compass drawn designs.
Join this Specialist Tour for an entirely new perspective on the Cathedral’s already rich and vibrant past.
This tour starts at 11.15am on Saturday 16 May.
Tickets cost £7 per person plus a small booking fee.
Please be aware, our special guided tours always sell out quickly so make sure you book a ticket as soon as you can.
Please note that tickets for specialist tours are non-refundable.
