Specialist Tour: Monastic Life at Norwich Cathedral
01 Jul 2026, 14:15

Norwich Cathedral was home to a community of Benedictine monks for over 400 years.
This new Specialist Tour explores three of the key monastic buildings now lost to us – the Hostry, where they welcomed and offered hospitality to visitors, the Refectory, where they ate, and the Infirmary, a significant building in its own right, which even had its own kitchens!
Find out what went on in these buildings in the Middle Ages and how some of these ancient spaces are used today.
This tour starts at 2.15pm on Wednesday 1 July.
Tickets cost £7 per person plus a small booking fee.
Please be aware, our special guided tours always sell out quickly so make sure you book a ticket as soon as you can.
Please note that tickets for specialist tours are non-refundable.
