Refugee Week: Hidden
14 Jun 2026 - 03 Jul 2026
Location: South Transept

This Refugee Week Norwich Cathedral has partnered with Christian charity English+ to host Hidden, an interactive art installation exploring the experiences of refugees around the world and the city's heritage as a place of sanctuary.
Hidden is a weaving and audio installation created with a group of women from migrant backgrounds who have made their home in Norwich. It explores cultural memories of home and the experiences of living in a new country with limited language skills, with the participants expressing their identity through crafting.
Visitors can engage with the artwork and hear the women's stories told through audio recordings.
Hidden was created with artist Liz Waugh McManus, who runs regular art and craft groups with women at English+. Liz is also a voluntary worker with Christian organisation, Arts Release.
Admission is free and the exhibition can be visited during Cathedral opening hours.
