Field of Remembrance
26 Oct 2025 - 11 Nov 2025

Those who have lost their lives in battle are being remembered in a Field of Remembrance at Norwich Cathedral.
The memorial, which is located outside the Hostry, will open with an act of worship on Sunday 26 October.
Throughout Remembrancetide, people can make a donation in return for a cross decorated with a poppy that they can dedicate to a lost loved one. Crosses will be available from the Donations Desk in the Hostry.
On Sunday 9 November, all are welcome to join us for a Service of Remembrance at Norwich Cathedral at 11.40am.
The service will follow on from the commemorations in front of Norwich War Memorial, in St Peters Street, which start at 10am when current and ex service personnel, civic dignitaries, emergency services representatives and civilians will assemble in front of the memorial.
There will be laying of wreaths at the memorial and prayers, followed by The Last Post to mark the start of a two-minute silence at 11am.
After a blessing, the parade will march off at about 11:05am, from St Peters Street, down Gaol Hill, along London Street, Opie Street, Castle Meadow, Agriculture Hall Plain, Upper King Street and Tombland to Norwich Cathedral.
Following a salute in the Cathedral Close, everyone is invited to enter the Cathedral for the 11.40am service.
