An evening to celebrate the launch of a new book Spirit of Norwich Cathedral by Daniel Tink and Stephen Browning.

Book readings and signings by the authors, together with an opportunity to purchase mounted prints of images from the book (all profits donated to the Cathedral)

Designing Japanese TV-News: The Emergence of 'Newscaster Shows' as Visual Art.  Lecture given by Mr Tirsu Yonekura, Principal Researcher, NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute, Tokyo

John Bell, from the Iona Community and an expert in communal singing, will explore the nature of harmony in community, using music as a metaphor. 

This event is organised by the Diocese of Norwich in conjunction with Transforming Norwich and the Norwich Christian Meditation Centre. Admission is free and there is no need to book.

Annual service to remember those who took part in the Battle of Britain - attended by the Lord Mayor, civic dignitaries and RAF representatives. 

Open to all.

A special service of Evensong to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of The Friends of Norwich Cathedral, followed by a reception in the Hostry, Weston Room.

Part of a weekend of Fair Food events at Norwich Cathedral, exploring trade justice, both global and local.

A keynote presentation by Kathy Galloway (Christian Aid Scotland and former leader of the Iona Community) and discussion chaired by Henry Cator (trustee of the Royal Agricultural Society of England).  Open to all - no admission charge.

Optional extra:  In collaboration with five Norwich restaurants (including the Cathedral Refectory), a pre-talk supper will be served at 6.00 pm, using fairly traded and locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible. Part of a weekend of Fair Food events at Norwich Cathedral, exploring trade justice, both global and local.

Based upon the BBC 'Question Time' format, students will have an opportunity to listen to, and engage with, a panel of high-profile contributors including Harriet Lamb (Director of the Fair Trade Foundation), Michael Hulme (UEA professor of Climate Change) Ian McPherson (Assistant Commissioner with the Metropolitan Police), Andy Hamilton (comedian and broadcaster), Norman Lamb, MP and the Bishop of Norwich.  The panel will be chaired by George Alagiah, BBC news presenter and foreign correspondent.

This event is open to the public but prority will be given to sixth form students.

The annual Harvest Festival Service for the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association.

There will be an accompanying 'Fair Food' exhibition on display in the Hostry from 7 - 10 October.
